El Novillero

4216 Franklin Blvd
Sacramento, CA 95820
(916) 456-4287

Yup, we still love this place. Always spend the extra few bucks and get the flour tortilla chips. So tasty! Huge portions, delicious beans (don't ask why) large margaritas and kitschy decor.

Fat Rabbit Public House

825 Sutter Street
Folsom, CA 95630
(916) 985-3289

From the folks who brought your Sam Horne's in Folsom, we now present Fat Rabbit! We liked Old Europe that used to be here. They had great schnitzel. So, it was with a little trepidation that we headed here. Bottom line - we loved it!

They did a great job redecorating into a more snug pub with lots of little booths, discreet nooks, some large tables, some restaurant style booths, couches, high tops...pretty much every kind of seating you could want.

You order everything at the bar, which we love. Simple, easy, you can start a tab and take your time. The pretzel was amazing! Hot out of the oven with a stone ground mustard and a Dijon. I liked dipping into both. It was also Bacon Fest so the menu had lots of piggy options. Overall the food was very good and they had all sorts of great beers.

This is a wonderful new place that you should definitely check out!

Pour House - Birth of Coach

1910 Q Street
Sacramento, CA 95811

Pour House was the choice of birthday boy Coach and we were happy to oblige! Our large group was too much for the front (and the whiskey-tapped 4-tops) so we ended up in the back room with no bar service. That part sucked but having our own space was good.

The food is so good! From the Coast-to-Coast food truck folks and it's all tasty. Upscale drinks, lots of whiskey, lovely beer selection. Overall, it's a good place to go. Happy birthday to our favorite Coach!

Mehfil Indian Restaurant

1605-B Douglas Blvd
Roseville, CA 95661

After a debauchery-filled last Thursday, we went for a quiet dinner. Some drunks speak highly or Mehfil, so here we are.

It was super easy to get in with a group of 12 on a Thursday. We were the only ones in there for a while. Which means a server to ourselves! She was super nice & kind of adorable when she forgot things. We liked her.

Food was tasty, everyone enjoyed their food, only thing is that they charge for the naan so everyone had to order their own.

We would recommend the lunch buffet as well!

Elixir Bar & Grill

1815 10th Street
Sacramento, CA 95814

Damn that was fun. Everyone needs a good trusty dive bar but this one is so much more! First off, the owners are rad. They will tell you off if you are a douchebag and treat you like the best drinky family if you are worthy. Lucky us, we were worthy.

Second, the food is so good! Best bar food in Sacramento. Burgers, BLTs, salt & pepper chicken wings, rings - we tried it all and it was all great.

It was a night of friends, shenanigans, gin in pint glasses, some free drinks & a whole lot of smart-mouthed jackassery.
