Starlite Lounge

1517 21st St
Sacramento, CA 95811
(916) 704-0711

A certain RobotGoBen has been wanting to check this place out since it reopened as the Starlite after the Townhouse was shuttered. We didn't really know what to expect, but their happy hour is great and goes until 7pm! Cheap good food, friendly staff - an all around winner. We were the largest party with about 8 people so it was pretty slow from about 6-8pm. Perfect for a group to get some bar space.

Best value is the $2.50 mini burger. It comes with a bunch of fries and the burger is just delicious.  Juicy, thick, bacon, fresh veg and amazing. The best little meal I've had on a happy hour in a long while. Check this place out for Happy Hour or for one of their shows.

Best part, the Townhouse pee smell is gone. Happy day!

Ju Hachi by Taka

1730 S Street
Sacramento, CA 95811
(916) 448-3481

Still a Thursday Drunks favorite, Ju Hachi is just straight up good sushi without all the bells, whistles and extra thick sauces. Damn good place that gets packed around 7pm. Sit at the bar if you can, and eat whatever they give you.

Crocker Art Mix

Crocker Art Museum
216 O Street
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 808-7000

Second Thursday of the month, Crocker Art Museum opens its doors up late, has a DJ, cocktails, performance art and much more. This month's theme was ink and there were tattoo artists, burlesque sketching and of course, we checked out the art. This is a perfect mix of late night art and drinks. Worth the $10 admission and pro tip - don't buy beer or wine from the bar...march straight over to the cafe for a better selection and they take credit cards.

Hampton's on Sutter Street

608 Sutter Street
Folsom, CA 95630
(916) 985-4735

We coaxed Captain Crabbypants down to Folsom for a late birthday celebration. We haven't been to Hampton's before and after some musical chairs with the reservations (outside, inside, outside), everyone seemed to like it!

Since this lame blogger had a pre-Thursday invite to try 36 different cheeses and drink home brew, she might have ended up bailing on Hamptons. Thirty. Six. Cheeses.
