Undisclosed Roseville Location
DAMN! Who doesn't love Popeye's Chicken?!
A shiny new location opened up in Roseville and just happens to be right around the corner from a founding drunk. Take-out and bring your own booze? Okay!
$5.50 a person later, we ate our fill of spicy chicken and a crap ton of sides. Easy and delicious way to feed 16 people. Also, ask for all their condiments. They have Cajun Sparkle (and I am not even kidding). It's a seasoning, not a stripper name - I swear.

Alonzo's Pizza Depot
7054 Sunrise Blvd
Citrus Heights, CA 95610
(916) 723-1288
Happy birthday to our very own Coach!! He choose the delicious Alonzo's in Citrus Heights for everyone's deep dish and train-themed needs. This place is a gem in it's little strip mall, but alas, this Thursday had some sober problems. They recently changed ownership so their liquor license has been suspended until that is all worked out. Boo. This isn't Thursday Sobers!
But other than that, who can complain about a night out with some recycled birthday cards and tons of pizza.
The photo below is from the Grange where two drunks met to drown their sorrows as we sad goodbye to sometimes drunks Amy & Dennis. May they find booze on all Thursdays in Montana!
Disclaimer: This blog post was during the dark days of blogging lameness. My apologies for the crappy post.

We haven't been here for an official Thursday Drunks in years!! Sangria by the pitcher, tasty morsels while you are packed into a small table - what's not to love?
You probably guessed that this blogger wasn't in attendance. I was battling Barry the Bastard, my favorite kidney stone nemesis. Blogger is ashamed...

Back Door Lounge
1112 Firehouse Alley
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 442-5751
Back Door Lounge. We can't even tell you how much we love this place. Andrea is a spunky bartendress who treats us so well. Nick the owner usually takes over the shift around 7ish and is a Sacramento institution. Either one will make you strong drinks (just speak clear and loud to Nick or you'll get a greyhound instead of a gin & tonic).
No food here, except some bags of chips so you either have to plan ahead or sneak out for a slice of pizza down the way.

Chili Lounge
Undisclosed Natomas Location
After all that New Years Whatnot, we wanted a quiet house Thursday to just calm things down. We hosted at our place with some homemade turkey chili, cornbread and toppings. Emily made us French 75's to keep us surly and folks tried out the new lounge area with our fancy new chairs. Successful Thursday.
