Tank House BBQ

1925 J St
Sacramento, CA 95811
(916) 431-7199

This place is a great addition to Midtown. The barbecue is pretty darn good and one of the few places you can get slow cooked ribs in the area. The decor is a fun modern, southern chic and they serve tater tots so I approve.

The Beast Feast is the way to go with a group since it's a whole of of things for just $32. The full bar is nice with the BBQ as well. Hot links, ribs, greens and tots seemed to be the favorite of the drunks.

Definitely check them out.

Reel GOOD Market

1409 Del Paso Blvd
Sacramento, CA 95815

The GOOD Design Market is a unique and wonderful little venture that pops up on Del Paso Blvd every first Sunday of the month. It is packed full of local vendors, food, cocktails, music and art.

This summer, they also added on a bike-in movie night which added food trucks and local restaurants slinging street food. The night we went they were showing Pee Wee's Big Adventure. We were so impressed with the set up, quality of food, vendors and cocktails.

Well done. We will be back to this one.

Oh, and a Vesper Martini at Enotria just down the street before it opened wasn't so bad either.

Uncle Vito's

1501 16th Street
Sacramento, CA 95814

Sometimes you just need cheap and easy. Uncle Vito's in Midtown is just that place. The giant slices of pizza are cheap and delicious with all sorts of optional shake-on seasonings and spices to choose from. Their thai chili fries are amazing and their drinks are solid. They even had 21st Ammendent Hell or High Watermelon on tap. Damn.

Fat's Asian Bistro

1500 Eureka Rd
Roseville, CA 95661
(916) 787-3287

The Double Dragon is a giant bowl of booze with straws and flowers. We love it. Fat's always comes through with some delicious dishes like their orange chicken, garlic green beans and almost everything else on their menu.

Alas, I was working that night and have no other details or photos.

Hot Italian

1627 16th St
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 444-3000

A large group is always fun at Hot Italian with you can get the big round table. They have a huge selection of pizzas, Peroni by the pitcher and tasty house prosecco and wine that makes for a fun evening.

They even have a non-dairy cheese for our lactose intolerant drunk.

Cornetto Trilogy

520 N Sunrise Ave
Roseville, CA 95661
(916) 772-1245

Affectionately called the Cornetto Trilogy, the Thursday Drunks enjoyed a movie marathon of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and the premier of World's End. A flask, some popcorn and hours upon hours of entertainment. We even had our own Shaun.

Wow, we kind of seem like dorks now don't we.

Eva's/Nela's Mexican Restaurant

242 Vernon St
Roseville, CA 95678
(916) 783-9992

We still can't seem to call this place Nela's since they changed their name from Eva's. Old fashioned affordable, piping hot and delicious Mexican food. The crispy shredded beef taco is the best thing ever. Deep fried and amazing.

Also, the squeezy bottle of hot sauce is the best thing ever. Amazing on their ranch salad as well.
