This was a good Thursday! We started off at Parker's Hot Dogs which is an institution in Roseville. We kind of took over the place with orders of corn dogs, western dogs, Chicago dogs, polish dogs , seasoned fries, cheese dogs and so much more!
They have a "Fry Company" that is basically a counter top deep fryer. Kind of like you could just have one in your house! And a clock that counts down to Easter, which is random.
Almost all of the original drunks were there, plus one BootDad. We love it when the parents come out with us!
The girls at Parker's were pretty nice and tolerant of our large group taking over. They even let us use their forks and eat Caddie's birthday cake there. The cake was Kahlua and apricot from Ettore's - freaky good. And of course since we didn't have candles, we put plastic clowns on it.
Caddie got a load of recycled cards and gift card presents, but once again, Sluggy out shined us all with the custom made Caddie replica puppet. It's awesome and has angry eyebrows.
Then off to the Almond Tree, a little divey, a little karaoke and a whole lot of character you just gotta love. Drinks are cheap, strong and simple!
Journal Tidbits: (we were extra quotable this week)
"Blow out the clowns!" - Everyone
"Are these trick clowns?" - Caddie
"Clowns are naturally tricky." - Scribby
"You can't finish a keg when people are drinking daiquiris!" - Shooter
"Momma J is usually sober..." - Scribby
"My Merle Haggard is a little rusty." - Shooter
"We are excellent at cramming people in." - Caddie
"I don't want to be in the hands of a redneck...I mean, come on?" - Mr. Chem
"Occasionally I totally feel like a whore." - Caddie
