Much Ado About Nothing

Sacramento Shakespeare Festival
William A. Carroll Amphitheater
William Land Park

Damn we are fancy. Second year we've added the Shakespeare Festival to our Thursday agenda. This time around, Much Ado About Nothing for a funny little old tyme RomCom. Bring your own beer, wine, and snacks, try to avoid the picnic ants and settle in for some culture. This is one of the best summer traditions Sacramento has to offer.

YOU!!

Someone is making bank by renting his bottle opener!

Bunch of classy drunks.

Hot Italian & the Birth of Gavin

1627 16th St
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 444-3000

Once again, Hot Italian treats us right. Gavin's choice for his birthday and we managaed the large round table which is just wonderful for a group of 17. Lots of thin crust pizza, beer, wine, bubbles, salad and so much deliciousness.

Oh, and one of our younger attendees lost a tooth! Woo!

We love our round table!

Someone lost a tooth at dinner.

Said tooth.

Fahrenheit 250 BBQ & the Birth of Mehera

7042 Folsom Blvd
Sacramento, CA 95826
(916) 476-4508

Mehera wanted meat for her birthday so she gets meat! Fahrenheit 250 is located in the old Bisla's building (or old Cattle Club, depending on your age reference), in the weird little building off the freeway, next to CSUS and sort of all by itself.

It just opened recently and is getting rave reviews for just damn good barbeque. Most of the drunks got sandwiches paired with a really good beer selection.

Mehera ordered the meat plate that came with two sides. She asked for mac n' cheese and the server asked what she wanted for her second side and she said "Another mac n' cheese!". Like a boss!

They have four different BBQ sauces, lean and fatty brisket choices and you can order corn muffins by the half dozen. Over all, top night!

GATHER Oak Park

Broadway & 3rd Avenue
Oak Park

Unseen Heros are the fab folks behind the GOOD Design Market. They just stared up a monthly GATHER in Oak Park on the second Tuesday of the month. We went their on their second go around. They close off a whole block right off Broadway and bring in food trucks, local beer, live band, vendors and such. It was packed full of folks that walked from their homes and also drive-ins like us that just wanted to check it out.

The drunks were 11 strong and ran into many friends at the festivities. What a great event! We would highly suggest checking it out. The next one is on Thursday, August 14th.

Bombay Bar & Grill

1315 21st St
Sacramento, CA 95811
(916) 441-7100

In the heart of Midtown, Bombay has been around for a few years if not more. A lot of people I trust love this place so we went! Ben was nice enough to go early, they had a great happy hour and some strong drinks. The staff is small but very personable and the food is great! This blogger missed the festivities and is a wee bit jealous. I'll have to take my own advice and try it out soon.
